Delevingne next appeared as The Enchantress in "Suicide Squad" (2016), a much anticipated entry in the DC comics film universe, followed by "Tulip Mania" (2017), a historical romance directed by Justin Chadwick from a script by Tom Stoppard. Delevingne's first starring film role in a major American film came in the adaptation of John Green's "Paper Towns." Delevingne was cast in the role of Margo, the teenage runaway protagonist, in the young adult favorite penned by the author of "The Fault In Our Stars" (2014). Her first major role was in the thriller "The Face of an Angel" (2014), in which she played a young party girl. In 2012, she appeared in her first small movie role, fittingly as a princess, in Joe Wright's adaptation of "Anna Karenina" (2012). She also appeared in print ads for Burberry, Zara, H&M, and Chanel. In 2009, she signed with Storm Model Management and began a successful career in high fashion modeling, walking for Burberry, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, and more. She continued modeling, in addition to drumming in a kiddie band called the Clementines. At age ten, Delevingne appeared in a spread in Italian Vogue. Her mother Pandora was herself a former It Girl turned personal shopper, while her father Charles was a property developer. She grew up in a well connected and well-off family, both of her parents being historically connected to British royalty. Delevingne was born on Augin London, England. First coming to prominence as a model and socialite, she went on to take on film roles and expand her music career. Cara Delevingne became the teen of the moment in the 2010s.
